The Gumbo Show is hosted by three Louisiana guys that, well… love gumbo! Here’s their story:

Brent Barksdale

This whole podcast started because of Brent’s obsession with gumbo. It is not uncommon for Brent to drive hundreds of miles out of the way in search of the perfect bowl of gumbo. If gumbo is on the menu, Brent will order it and usually one bowl is not enough. Brent has a problem, but rather than try to cure Brent of his addiction to Louisiana’s most glorious dish, it was decided to just let him co-host a podcast about gumbo instead.

Faimon Roberts

Faimon Roberts is a writer and journalist from Baton Rouge who now lives on the north shore. When he is not obsessing over LSU football, he is probably thinking about making gumbo, eating gumbo or talking about gumbo. When Faimon isn't talking with Brent and Dave about meat and rice in a bowl, he's hectoring his children on how to make a perfect roux.

Dave Huguenel

Dave’s a Louisiana native now living in the Washington D.C. area. He loves gumbo so much that he’ll spend an entire day scouring grocery stores just to find the correct sausage for his favorite cajun dish. It was recommended by friends and family that Dave try to find something better to do with his time, so he joined a gumbo podcast. He’s pretty sure that’s not what they meant, but they should have been more specific.
